Brian Thoreen is an artist and designer, and cofounder of Mexico City gallery MASA whose practice explores a radical approach to materiality, blurring the line between functional object and sculptural form through works in rubber, wax, metal, and glass. Collaborating on made-to-order commissions, Thoreen develops bespoke pieces tailored to specific spaces and contexts across diverse creative platforms, and private clients. His sensibility has been shaped by formative experiences, including working alongside James Turrell.
